I'm not sure if you guys experience this, but I go through different phases where I have dresses or tops of the moment. Then you'd probably see me repeatedly wearing it in different ways until I get over that phase. This is my current dress of the moment, found this baby in Seoul and am so obsessed with it right now. I love how versatile it is, and also the fact that there's only prints on one side! (Sometimes I'd find overly printed pieces a little overwhelming) :D

Helter Skelter
Was down at Marina Bay Sands on Sunday to dress a few models for their Shootout with Modxnet! Despite the horribly hot weather, sunlight proved to deliver the best photos.

Cherie Fantasy: Majolica Majorca X Ma Cherie
Attended the Majolica Majorca X Ma Cherie event last week with my friend Susan! It was a baroque themed event showcasing their latest Majolica Majorca Fantasy Chapter 38 Launch as well as Ma Cherie's Autumn Launch 2013 :)
The event began with a short presentation unveiling the 2 star products of the Chapter 38 Launch, Lash Expander Edge Meister F and The Little Humming Book III ! ($25.90 / Available in Singapore on 22nd August 2013)
What I found most amazing about this mascara is that it's easily removed with just the use of warm water! Goodbye insanely oily eye makeup removers and super annoying dark undereye smudges. It also contains 4mm long fibers and a liquid lengthening base giving you more voluminous lashes. For girls who face the issue of smudging when applying mascara unto shorter lashes, you'd be happy to hear that this one comes with their signature duo comb which makes it so much easier to reach those tiny lashes at the edge of your eyes!
The Little Humming Book III is the 3rd in their limited edition palettes. It comes with an eye cream base, two eyeshadow shades and a lip gloss, ingenious. The base is supposed to give your eyeshadows a 3D effect creating beautiful deep-set eyes. The two eyeshadow shades found in this palette are 'Brick Wall' and 'Antique Berry', Baroque themed colours!
Next up, Ma Cherie showcased their Autumn haircare collection and also did a demonstration for us! I'm so excited to try the 'Hair Gelee (Soft Wave)' I received after seeing the model's hair transform from slightly wavy to beautiful airy curls :)
This time round, Ma Cherie has prepared 6 awesome haircare products for both straight and curly hair! Needless to say, they all smell wonderful featuring their signature romantic fruity fragrance ♡
The rest of the afternoon was spent taking lots of photos and trying out the different game stations! I was really impressed at how well thought out this event was, we all received a personalized invitation card which we could use at the tarot card machine to exchange for a Ma Cherie hair product that is most suited for our hair!

Everything at the event down to the food and decorations were in theme! Loved how pretty everything looked :) HerVelvetVase was also there to share their new collection and gave us lovely gift bags!

Dolly Lenses
Here's a quick post on where to get cheap and comfortable big-eye lenses in Singapore ♥

I'm heavily reliant on these dolly lenses and almost never ever leave the house without em. So, imagine the horror I faced when the previous seller I used to buy from went on hiatus! I went in search of a new seller and could only find sellers that offered pre-orders :/ I ordered a few pairs from this girl before I left for my korea/japan trip and after almost a month, she told me I'd still have to wait for a longer time because she needed to cap 30 orders first :O
It was at this time when the previous seller I used to buy from contacted me to tell me that she had lenses coming in again soon. I was so relieved! And, here's the best part, I told her my situation and that I needed them urgently and she told me that she could just send over 2 pairs first and charge me later because the final prices are not out yet! I was so touched ♡ And true to her word, I received my lenses a day later. I'm never ever going to buy from anybody else again unless she's out of business :)

The Friend Review
Toxic Friends
So one day you wake up and find yourself dreading to meet that girlfriend you used to love hanging out with. You've given her plenty of chances for "old time's sake" and yet everytime you meet her you walk off feeling like your life has been sucked out of you.
That is a toxic friend.
Yes she was once the person you'd call in the middle of the night and cry to. The one who'd swear she'd always be on your side. The girl you can spend hours talking about nothing to.
So what happened?
I've had one or two toxic friends whom I was once close to over the years, and trust me, it took a lot to completely drift from them. Good friends are precious gifts God has given us to make our life on earth a lot happier. They are a huge part of our lives, and more often than not, it can be harder to breakup than love interests. I'm not saying you have to axe this person out of your life for eternity, maybe it's just bad timing right now and eventually if it's meant to be, you guys would be BFFs once again.
In the meantime, here's some tips on how to identify a toxic friend:
1. Unsupportive : She never seems truly happy about anything good that happens to you, and almost always downplays your achievements or things that are important to you.
2. Able to tweak good things that happen to her into digs at you
3. Manipulative: She's super nice to you when she wants you to find out certain information for her and then transforms back into that selfish prick after she's got what she wanted
4. Uses you as a scapegoat: In front of everybody she's agreeable to any sort of plans, and then you receive a private message from her telling you how badly she doesn't want to go and tries to convince you to accompany her, and finally make it seem like you're the reason you guys are ditching the plans
5. Inconsiderate: It does not occur to her that her demands on you are inconveniencing you, and when you do go out of your way to help her, she's rarely even grateful
6. You find yourself constantly the target of humiliating "jokes" whenever she's around
7. Due to her overly sensitive nature, you're constantly on eggshells around her afraid of saying the wrong thing
8. She is not what she seems, and you're the only one who knows the ugly side. Eg: She'd portray a sincere image to the friend she dislikes who's going through a tough time and secretly tells you she thinks that friend deserves all the terrible things he/she is going through

FashionTV X Zardoze Show
Hi guys, here's a glimpse of the Zardoze fashion show that took place at the FashionTV Beach Festival last weekend! I was so happy I got a chance to see this show because the pieces were absolutely stunning ♡ Thank you Zardoze for the passes!
The event was held at Tanjong Beach Club with the runway cleverly placed on top of the pool.
The show featured a number of pieces from their ready-to-wear as well as pieces from their luxurious Panthea collection! Unfortunately, my camera malfunctioned and I could only snap with my iPhone :/ So I took some pictures from the site so you guys can see the details on the outfits!

I loved the way they played with textures in their ready-to-wear line, especially the reptile print pieces! I felt like there was a certain level of gothic charm present in these elegant pieces and the effect is just so beautiful.
