Hello 2013

( This is a more personal post for myself as a keepsake ☺ )

One year has passed and now its time to embrace a new one. 

2012 was a roller-coaster ride for me, but despite all its ups and downs, I gained so much from it and am truly thankful.

Seeing my favourite band (Metric) live!

Understanding the value of family and friends ;

And finally,

starting my own business ✌

Looking back, there really was a reason for everything. I made a lot of bad choices last year, and I realized how important it is to learn to let go. 

At the end of the day, what matters most is that you and your loved ones 

are healthy and happy. I'm glad to be where I am today and I hope 

whoever is reading this, is too.

Bobbi Brown Lips

Received this for christmas and am sharing this because I'm absolutely hooked. Never one to use lip gloss because I always felt it made my lips look thicker & fatter, ieeww. This one not only did not make my lips look fat, it added a light glossy shimmer and lasted a lot longer than I expected it to!

It is a tad sticky which would probably require some getting used to. I guess that's why it's more long-lasting.

Sequins for Christmas

Have a very merry Christmas ♥

This year I decided to go with sequins again for Christmas. Love how the sequins on this dress pans out like some sort of a chest-plate necklace!

Spent the night at woobar with people I love dearly, two of whom were born on Christmas eve! The atmosphere was lovely and quiet, which was perfect for us.

I especially loved these lights, thought they looked like plants from a fantasy world.

Trip down memory lane

Christmas is round the corner, so I took a trip down memory lane & dug out some pictures of past Christmas outfits!

These are from last year, I was pretty much into the skirts + stockings combo.

In the left picture, I was wearing a wooly black mini with glitter I found in Korea! Sadly, it never saw the light of day after that night.

I still have that sequined mini from Miss Selfridge which feels totally festive to me! Glitter and sequins always reminds me of Christmas somehow. And on the right, I was donning my favourite pair of boots, which are unfortunately spoilt now. After looking through these pictures, I realize I kinda miss my long hair. Have you picked out your Christmas outfit for this year?

Absence of Colour

This dress has always been a personal favourite of mine from the store.

Being a huge fan of monochrome, I'm always on the lookout for more varied designs that toy with the absence of colour.

Riverside

Dug out an old H&M toga top I found in HK for today.

I rarely wear togas, and this was one of those impulsive buys which luckily is not one I regret. Spent a pleasant evening down at robertson quay catching up with my dear friend. We did an unorthodox gift exchange and I'm very happy with all my Disney themed gifts. Thank you ♥

Brightly Lit Town

Did a little last minute Christmas shopping in my new mesh skirt (Julien) last night, and boy was town crowded! I'm not a big fan of the red & gold theme this year, but I do like the Christmas story figurines ♥

The stores seem to have extended they're shopping hours so we managed to cover more ground than we originally could have.
