Easter Bunnies!

Brought my silly little bunny boy out yesterday to meet some new bunny friends!
Here's snippets of the playdate ♥

A quick shot of bunny in the car just before entering the house!

A very curious and excited Marshall when we first entered the room with our bunny-filled carriers! Haha

Slippy and Marshall hit it off real fast!
My bunny felt really unhappy and refused to mingle with the bigger boys :/
Thank God there was another bunny his size :D

Quinn was such a sweetheart; grooming and snuggling him trying to make him feel better despite his constant thumping!

Marshall and Slippy were having their own fun on the other side of the room, don't they look so darn cute together? *o*

Two baby bunnies trancing on me lol

Bunny still holding on to his treat despite being flipped over!

Surrounded by so many bunnies this Easter, #happygirl !
Hope you guys are all having a wonderful Easter weekend ♥

Shoes On Budget!

Breaking-in my shiny red shoes!
If only they were magical like the ones Dorothy has

I used to be one of those girls who spends all her money on clothing and rewears one pair of strappy flats, one pair of slippers, and occasionally a pair of black heels haha. I've come a long way since then, and developed a mild obsession for shoes :) I'm still unwilling to pay for expensive shoes unless of course they're JCs (yes, Jeffrey Campbell is considered pricey to me) or a pair that I absolutely cannot imagine living without.
Usually I try to keep my shoe budget under $100!

Here's a list of places which sells shoes under $100:

1. ASOS.com - they frequently hold sales and the deals are pretty awesome, free shipping!
2. gojane.com - measure carefully before ordering! it's very expensive to exchange :/
3. H&M - frequent sales!
4. NewLook - the quality is probably not the best, but if you're lucky you may find treasure!
5. nastygal.com - low shipping rates, and good selection under the sale rack
6. The Editor's Market - the more stuff you buy the cheaper it gets, love their designs :)

Close your eyes and tap your heels 3 times.
And think to yourself there's no place like home..

Dolled Up Puppet

Live for yourself, easier said than done.
Do you sometimes feel like a puppet too?

We are all able to make our own choices in life, but many times these choices are affected by the fear of probable consequences and by the expectations placed by those around us. We're somehow created with this innate desire to please and to want to be loved. And the thought of losing favor with somebody or risk being outcasted can cause us to do very silly things. I honestly feel (and learned the hard way) that succumbing to pressure by loved ones or friends at any point in life is inevitable, at the end of the day, the question is whether that person is worth it. Sometimes it does help to take a step back from a stressful relationship to breathe and take on a different perspective :)

Runaway Train

Did an outdoor shoot yesterday and I wish I could post almost all the pictures here! Hehe :) Initially we were bummed because of the rain and were worried we wouldn't be able to shoot without any sun. Then whilst looking for the old train tracks, we ended up in a seemingly deserted nature reserve. It was like I walked onto the set of twilight or some horror flick, the ground was literally emanating smoke! I've never seen Singapore this foggy before, nevertheless, I thought it was so beautiful.

Here's a picture of me and my lovely photographer+friend, Gina ♥

Vintage Finds

Rarely one to wear vintage, this outfit is inspired by my grandmother who was recently hospitalized. Lately it seems like the older she is, the more child-like she becomes. She's an apparel hoarder who loves glittery, over-the-top outfits and these pieces were from her ♥

I guess recent events made me realize just how much I've been neglecting her. It's so important to express your love for your family members while they're still around :)

The main idea for this outfit is love, surrounded by so much love lately and feeling very grateful. It's been about 3 months since I've started blogging, and it's been such a wonderful experience. I really do appreciate every lovely comment and email, not just here but also on other social media sites!

Thank you so much for reading this space ♥

So here's my first worldwide giveaway, because I've noticed some of you don't hail from Singapore :) Very simple little contest, just comment on this picture on my instagram!

Chatoyant Toy

My all-time favourite safety pin top thrifted in Bangkok ♥
Posted this before but thought it went really well with my new leather skater skirt! Love it so much I think I'd probably end up DIY-ing something similar when it's all worn-out :)

Meet Captain Bunny

Everyone meet Captain Bunny! The newest member of my furry family :)
I've had him for about a week and a half now, and I'm so in love!

He completely changed my perspective on bunnies hehe, I used to be scared of them because most I've encountered bites ☠☠☠

This is when we first saw him!
(His ears haven't lopped yet, so you had to gently push it down for it to stay lopped
just long enough for a picture)

Bunny's new home (BIG MISTAKE)!
We thought a playpen would be better than a cage so he'd have more space to roam about, BUT he manages to squeeze his way out all the time. (Explains the paper I stuck all over the sides). It's also tougher to clean because he would pee on the floor and risk stepping on it.

TIP: A cage is more ideal for a start, because it aids toilet-training and prevents the bunny from hurting himself while trying to escape the pen. It's also much easier to clean the cage while the bunny is still learning to use the litterbox!

Our first picture together!

Bunny accompanying me while I do my work :)

♥♥♥

Bunny actually likes to be picked up and petted, which is supposed to be odd for bunnies. Now he'd continuously nudge me while I'm doing my work for me to pick him up so he can nap on my lap!

Interesting fact: Rabbits are able to sleep with their eyes open, so it's hard to tell when they're sleeping. A dead giveaway that their asleep is when their noses stop twitching/wiggling!

I currently also own 2 dogs and a cat :)
Here's Fay getting to know Bunny (probably the closest they've been to each other so far). Most of the time Fay either ignores Bunny or bolts when he gets too close to her. Somehow she seems terrified of Bunny, really do hope they'll get along one day :/

Bunnies grow really fast, he's already slightly larger than my palm now!

I've been reading a lot on bunnies lately and here's a website that I really like:

Rabbits101 on youtube also offers a lot of useful videos for bunny owners :)

My Top Iphone Photo Apps

Hello! One question I get asked a lot is which apps am I using to filter my photos, so today I will be sharing my 6 favourite iphone photo editing apps :)

I'm constantly exploring new photo apps (because I'm such a vainpot), and these are the ones I constantly go back to!

Here's an unfiltered picture of me taken with not-so-ideal lighting hence the sallow skin.

Starting with camera360 :)
I usually use camera360 as a base filter because it offers a super awesome feature, MAGIC SKIN! I rarely touch the other effects hehe

Here are some examples of the magic skin effect.
There are 2 skin whitening effects depending on how fair you'd want to go.
The problem with the H-whitening is that it sometimes over-exposes your picture making it less sharp. There is also the Sweet effect which I sometimes use for selfies for that pale vintage look ✌

Next up is Morebeaute2, a must-have for the lazy girl hehe
A straightforward app which instantly smooths, brightens and evens your skin tone! I prefer using this for casual self-shots instead of outfit shots because the smoothing can go a little over sometimes and blurs the photo.

And here we have my trusty Fotor, I use this for almost every photo!
Fotor has a wide variety of filters (especially lomo ones), and it allows you to view all the different ones at a glance and toggle the intensity as well.

My favourite effect is Pale-Ocre, it desaturates the entire photo leaving only the pink hues, super love! I like to use it on top of either L-whitening (cam360) or morebeaute2 because it doesn't help in skin-tone and works best on brighter pictures. In this example below, I used it on top of morebeaute2.

The next one I'll be sharing is Instastitch, the app I use to combine images and create mirror effects :) I love this because it's extremely easy to use!
(1:1 ratio is the one that fits perfectly unto Instagram)

You can flip the images whichever way you like after adding the photo into a frame. You can also easily toggle away the borders or change its colour.

Sometimes you might take some photos which can't fit into Instagram's fixed square, so here's my solution: Whitagram :) Simply add your picture in and you'll get that lovely white background. They even have a #whitagram gallery on Instagram showcasing all the gorgeous creations done with this app!

Finally, the last app I'm going to share with you is Typesetter. I only recently discovered this app and am still playing around with it.
I like that it offers the circle frame and it's also easy to add text unto your picture (am totally digging the fonts).

I hope this was helpful!
Do share your favourite photo editing apps with me too ♥
