Found this sweater at a shopping mall on my last trip to Seoul.

Haven't had much opportunity to wear it back here since I overestimated how thick the material actually is. It's so comfortable though. 

The black netted dress is from 镜 , they have stores in Singapore and Hongkong. It's very affordable and sells mainly black colored clothing :)

Buzz : H&M On The Runway

 H&M will be holding their first runway show in 8 years on Febuary 27th at Paris Fashion Week! Swedish chain will be starting the year fashionably by showcasing 25 looks from the autumn/winter '13/14 collection at the Musee Rodin, where Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior have previously showcased at.

I am a huge fan of H&M, and especially love it when there's sale going on. The bargains are mind-blowing. I'm thrilled to see them taking the next step and hitting the runway alongside other big names in fashion. 

Does this signify a turning point in the industry where more mass-market retailers such as topshop and river island start staging runway shows that were once reserved for big brands with hefty price tags?

Is this a spark of a new trend?

Embarking On An Adventure

This sweater/top is one of those pieces that I end up wearing over and over again. It's so comfortable, I could just fall asleep in it.

Everyday is an adventure, it's how we perceive it ☀

DIY: Knotted Headband

Hello! Here's a tutorial on how to make your own knotted headband!

1. Cut two long strips off your old clothing; 3" wide and approximately 22" long. The longer the better, length can be adjusted later.

Take the first strip and lay it down like this:

2. Place the second strip over the first strip

3. Place the right side of the first strip over the second one

4. Take the left side of the second strip and place it under the hoop of the first one

5. This is the tricky part, take the right side of the second piece and slide it through the hoop going under the left side of the second piece

You should see a very loose knot, and then pull lightly to tighten the knot

It should look something like this

5. Adjust the size of the headband accordingly, then place the two ends together and sew it up with a small piece of excess cloth !

And it's done!

Show A Little Love

I looked through instagram lately and was surprised to see the number of people suffering in pain, its heart-breaking. Most may not understand how it feels like to be depressed. To fall so far down, you can't seem to find your way out. Yes, depression and suicide is real, it's not a mere attempt for attention.

Have we become so caught up with our own lives we neglect those around us?

For some time now I've been searching for an outfit to match this belt given to me by a friend some time ago. It was too loose so I had to kind of tie it up instead of wearing it the usual way, and I'm happy to say it worked out fine! (At least in my opinion) The highlight of this outfit is actually the jacket, I'm in love with the material and proud to say its now in store ♥

Distressed Leggings

Found this pair of leggings a long time ago in a small corner store in HK, and it's been tucked away in my closet, until now :)

DIY: Slave-Chain Bracelet

Today I made my first slave-chain bracelet! 

It's made of unwanted jewelry and bits of a dress I was planning to throw away. I'm really pleased with it hehe, so here's an idea if you're interested in recycling unwanted items! 

1. Collect unwanted 'useful' parts

For me, I removed all the small metal hoops from this dress and also used the chain of an unwanted necklace.

2. Prepare pliers and hardware

You will probably need 2 pliers, makes it a lot easier when you're tweezing the hardware.

3. Measure the chains and make sure they fit properly

4. Be creative!

Initially, I toyed with the idea of adding mesh and wires, but it turned out pretty bad haha. So I ended up sticking to a simpler design :)

And... we're done!
